PODCAST #1: Language and Media – Between Form and Substance
In the first episode of the podcast series 'Developing Leadership Skills for Inclusive Governance', the focus was on language—as a tool of expression, a means of shaping consciousness, and a mechanism for including (or excluding) different social groups.
Host Aleksandra Bojić Ivanović spoke with Biljana Dabić, journalist and editor of Primorski Portal, and Mirjana Savićević, professor of language and literature, about the creative power of language, the role of the media, gender-sensitive communication, the flexibility of linguistic rules, and the growing influence of younger generations on language evolution.
The episode raises important questions—Is gender-sensitive language merely a formality? How do we speak, and how do we listen? Can language truly be a tool for change?
The podcast was produced in cooperation with the Business Start Center Bar and the NGO Women's Action, with the support of the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights of Montenegro.
Podcast production, recording, and editing were done by Dejan Senić.
