‘Connecting Cities of the United Kingdom and Western Balkans through Digital Technology’ (‘Digital Cities’)

The British Council and the UK Government have launched the Digital Cities project, with the desire to connect Western Balkan economies and cities with those in the UK through digital technology and the creative industry.

By linking professionals working in this region, strengthening their skills and networking, the project contributes to the strengthening of the creative and digital economy and provides the opportunity for better international cooperation between Great Britain and the Western Balkans.

The Digital Cities project contributes to the development of knowledge and skills in the field of strategic and business development, planning and networking, but also stimulates the capabilities and skills of leaders of digital hubs and companies. Representatives of selected digital centers will have the opportunity to connect with local governments and exchange of experience. Developing joint projects with partners from the UK, working in the domain of digitalisation of city administrations, education and creative industries, will be another advantage of this program.

The Digital Cities project will last until the end of March 2018.
